Iraq declares mourning for Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah

Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani declared a three-day period of general mourning across Iraq in response to the death of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.

The mourning was also extended to honor Nasrallah’s companions, who were reportedly killed alongside him in Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon.

This announcement marks a significant moment of solidarity between Iraq and Hezbollah, reflecting the deep political and ideological ties that exist between Iraq’s Shiite factions and the Lebanese group.

Hezbollah, a prominent militant group in Lebanon, has been a major force in Middle Eastern geopolitics, often clashing with Israel.
